Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
We are currently seeking Silver membership of the Armed Forces covenant.
WBL employ a number of staff who are or were spouses of serving personnel, with two employees who are currently spouses of active serving personnel. We are hugely sympathetic to the operational needs of serving personnel when it comes to their spouses/partners and are extremely flexible in allowing staff to work from home or take leave if their partners are deployed or due R&R/POTL. We currently have a member of staff whose husband is on a six-month operational deployment and are supporting her with flexible working around her two children who have medical needs, whilst being cognisant and understanding of any special needs that may arise during her husband’s deployment.
We actively recruit spouses/partners of the Reservist community and would gladly extend our flexible working pattern and arrangements to facilitate any special needs arising from deployments and/or injuries/bereavement no matter whether Reservist or Regular Forces.
