Focus on training with DHL

DHL’s Transport Development Centre provides training and development opportunities for drivers as well as for those working in management and administration.  

The centre has also been designed to facilitate Driving Ambition, DHL’s new training programme which provides fully funded training for would-be LGV drivers.   

New recruits are taken through a detailed course, covering everything from the driver medical to theory testing and practical training. A team of experienced instructors work alongside the trainees, offering guidance and support to help them obtain their qualifications.   

As part of the programme, trainees benefit from the use of a state-of-the-art LGV simulator, which gives them the opportunity to experience driving an LGV in a safe environment.   

In under four months, applicants can undertake the programme, obtain their licence and begin their employment as an LGV driver.    

The centre, based in Crick, is supported by training hubs across the UK, with Driving Ambition being offered nationally.
