International Spouse Summit

AFF Employment & Training Specialist Lucy Ritchie recently joined an International Military Spouse Employment round table.

Delegates were able to hear from representatives from the USA and Canada who work in military spousal employment and was hosted by Hiring our Heroes lead, Brian Alvarado.

The programme covered the support available for military spouses, and also the barriers they experience, with plenty of common themes being covered.

Lucy said: “It was a great opportunity to establish relationships with both teams, and to get some insight into their approaches in trying to overcome the barriers for military spouses having meaningful employment and careers. I definitely came away with plenty of ideas!”
