Associate - Industial Agency

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Surveyor to join our Industrial Agency team with a focus on servicing landlords, property companies, institutional clients in the UK in marketing and letting new open storage assets.  Broadly an industrial agency role, it could suit someone from a leasing/ agency or asset management background. The post holder will extend and develop Cater Jonas’s presence in the evolving Open Storage sector while also helping to strengthen Carter Jonas’ profile within this market. This role will suit someone looking for a new career challenge and with the desire to build client relations while ensuring the delivery of excellent service to all our clients.

Main tasks: 

• The main tasks day to day will be to market and let open storage / low site density new sites for 
• Utilising existing data base and other channels of marketing including industry contacts.
• To help increase the profile and assist with the market knowledge and intel that is being built in this area.
• Reporting on disposal properties (including development sites)

• Help to update the open storage database on deals done and using the enquiries based system.
• Leading and managing disposals including lettings and sales
• Assisting and preparing board reports for sanction of property transactions 
• Business development networking with industrial agents and developers
• Pro-actively participate in the management and development of a strong team
• Strategically work with other departments to develop new fee opportunities (cross selling) and to maintain consistency and efficiency
• Secure new instructions from existing and new clients
• Assist the team Partners with presentations to win new business and handling larger instructions requiring team working
• Increase the profile of the Carter Jonas Commercial Division

What will it take to be successful?

We are seeking a Chartered Surveyor with significant post qualification experience with a good understanding of investment and development appraisals, strong entrepreneurial skills and a can-do attitude. The post holder will have a good knowledge of landlord and tenant law and protocols and excellent report writing skills. Additionally, you’ll have strong client management and communication skills and will have the ability to drive business initiatives forward in a confident and personable manner.
