Building Control Surveyor

Job Description

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Salary: SK14 (£37,737 per annum) plus call out allowance

Contract: Permanent

 

You will be expected to check and ensure the smooth flow of Building Regulation Applications (domestic and non domestic building work) and undertake site inspections when requested by customers.

 

You will be guided by our business plan and workflow processes and will document all activities which provide evidence of service delivery.  Your outcomes and outputs will link into our plan and your focus will be on the importance of service delivery to our customers and to meet performance standards/targets for building control.  You will be expected to work along and within a progressive team to contribute to the development and build process.

 

You will report any non-conformance on site or in procedures to the Building Control Manager.

 

You will be expected to have a broad knowledge of allied legislation to the development and build process and undertake any necessary consultations as required on a case by case basis.

 

You will be expected to embrace training opportunities which include competency validation and ultimately registration with The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) by April 2024.

 

At all times you will ensure high quality standards and consistency in the provision of professional advice on Building Control matters to the public, councillors and professionals.
