Job Description

The ‘One Children’s Service Transformation Programme’ is seeking to deliver stability, improvement and confidence in transforming our Children’s Services Directorate. This is a high priority programme, mandated by the Corporate Management Team, and connected to the ‘A Bright Future Strategy’ where there is a vision that Children and Young People in Plymouth grow up healthy and happy, safe and able to aspire and achieve; living in resilient families and communities, able to take advantage of a broad range of opportunities.

The ‘One Children’s Service Transformation Programme’ is planned across three key workstream areas of:

·       Transformation Enablers - 9 projects to improve the workforce, data management, ICT systems and technology architecture in Children’s Services.

·       Service Improvement – 8 projects to improve the service delivery and outcomes for children and young people across social care and education.

·       System and Service Transformation – 5 large scale projects to improve the city’s ability to meet the challenges facing children and young people in Plymouth.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, diligent, critical thinker to join the programme team as a Business Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Children’s Services, be involved in project delivery and support the department on improving its ICT systems, data management, business processes and ultimately improving outcomes for children, young people and families in Plymouth, key aspects to helping us on our heading towards excellence journey.

The successful applicant will be a key role within the Transformation Enablers workstream, most notably in the data improvement, ICT Systems Development, Automated Intelligence and Lean Systems projects. You will ideally have experience in lean thinking, designing processes to be more efficient and getting the best out of technology systems.

This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service.
