Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire

Salary: £30,260 per annum (Professional Services Grade 7)

Job Type: Full - Time, Permanent (37 Hours PW, 52 weeks)

Campus Safeguarding Lead - The Role:

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and resilient Campus Safeguarding Lead to safeguard and promote the welfare of all students and to coordinate the support needed to always ensure students' safety and welfare.

Campus Safeguarding Lead - Key Responsibilities:

As part of this role, you will act as one of the named designated teachers for looked after children and those who have left care recently. You will be responsible for managing day to day safeguarding and child protection on Salisbury campus, keeping the Senior Safeguarding Lead updated on all child protection and safeguarding issues. You will contribute to staff training as part of our staff development programme and take part in evaluation of the service including systems and processes.

You will have responsibility for line managing other key staff in your team, including Wellbeing Advisors and Security Staff and supporting the Personal Social Development (PSD) Team by ensuring that safeguarding is embedded in the delivery plan and that the PSD team have the confidence to deliver safeguarding topics as part of this programme.

Campus Safeguarding Lead - You

To apply, you will hold a level 4 qualification in a relevant subject and hold GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above. You will have attended and hold a WSVPP Advanced Safeguarding or equivalent.

You will have strong knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will be empathetic and approachable with a friendly disposition and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be able to demonstrate evidence of record keeping, data inputting and providing timely reports and demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure and be highly organised.
