Catering & Hospitality Assistants play a really important role in FoodLinc outlets at the University of Lincoln, delivering excellent service to our customers throughout the day.   Based in our cafes and hospitality operations on the Brayford and Riseholme campuses you will be a key member of the team producing high quality barista drinks, serving food and working on tills.

Is this role for me?

If you are keen to work in a busy food & drink outlet and showcase your skills, this role could be perfect for you!

You will have previous catering/hospitality or customer service experience, although full training and support is provided.  Most importantly you will need to have a friendly, professional outlook and a positive and flexible approach.  The majority of shifts are 6 hours long, typically working between 7.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.  However, weekend and later shifts will be required, on occasion, to suit the needs of the business.  A driving licence would be desirable in order to drive the University Hospitality Van.

What are the benefits of working for the University of Lincoln?

As well as a commitment to paying the real living wage for all staff and working for a business that cares and supports the mental health and wellbeing of their staff you will also benefit from exciting career opportunities with the chance to grow and develop to reach your full potential. We also offer a wide range of staff benefits which include a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holiday and concessionary days), which means not having to work bank holidays over Christmas and Easter, progressive pay rates, cycle to work scheme, favourable pension scheme, access to discounts at popular stores and much more.

We will be inviting candidates for interviews throughout the advertising period, so don't delay your application - apply today!
