Data Analytics Engineer
Glasgow 

As a Barclays Data Analytics Engineer, you will be part of the team that sits within the Markets Post-Trade transaction cycle, known as TC11, and is responsible for delivering the BarCamp schemas used to publish trades, positions and other business objects into the banks data fabric. The BarCamp schema is the Strategic Messaging format used in the Barclays IB strategic Architecture. Your team is responsible for Front to Back and Cross functional business analysis of strategic business process.

What will you be doing?
•    Running data queries for multiple business units, proactively analysing the data to ensure accurate delivery of data sets 
•    Managing remediation of the data quality issues and ensuring timely delivery of the fixes identified 
•    Being responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all key stakeholders across pre-trade, post-trade and RFT
•    Managing assigned work through to successful completion, working proactively with stakeholders to ensure accountability is in place across projects
•    Reporting, providing visibility on status against milestones, and transparency of risks and issues
•    Working data analysis and data modelling, supporting multiple projects and programs across Markets for identification and remediation of any data quality 

What we’re looking for:
•    Experience in Markets / Investment Banking Products Knowledge
•    Expertise as a Business Analyst
•    Experience in Data Mining Experience 
•    Ability to develop stakeholder relationships

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    XML and Data Modelling Knowledge/Experience 
•    Knowledge and understanding around data warehousing and architecture
•    Highly developed problem management skills
