Job Description

Our contract management team are looking for a data and finance team leader to join the team in Birmingham. You will oversee and line manage the team ensuring that every member works to their fullest potential and delivers their assigned tasks with the highest proficiency. To offer essential support and guidance to each team member and assist with their personal development.  You will act as a liaison between the team and operations management to ensure a timely task completion.

Key tasks:

 

  • Managing the data and finance team on a daily basis
  • Reporting to the operations manager on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Analysing WIP figures from Business Central for internal clients to drive billing performance
  • Ensuring team’s KPI’s are met
  • Carrying out monthly 1:1’s and annual appraisals with each team member
  • Responsible for data and finance team recruitment to include vacancy requests, CV review and interviews
  • To implement and manage the induction programme for new starters
  • Managing holiday requests and sickness 
  • Implementing and monitoring personal development plans
  • Monitor the teams time recording
  • Create standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for performance management
  • Manage CMT Hub to ensure all data is kept up to date
  • To collate and hold CMT monthly meeting with data and finance team members
  • Review and monitor manuals
  • To monitor the apprenticeship programme

 

What will it take to be successful?

 

You will need strong communication skills, a professional approach and fantastic time management skills. Previous experience in a supervisory, leadership or management position would be extremely beneficial. Ideally you will have demonstrated track record in line management (to include holidays, sickness, performance management/personal development, recruitment) in a similar role. Knowledge/experience within the property industry is desirable. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office, highly organised, whilst maintaining strong leadership skills. You will have the ability to use initiative in a confident and personable manner. Attention to detail is paramount for this role. We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong team work, who thrives under pressure, successfully meets deadlines and effectively prioritises tasks. It’s important that you are driven by the achievements of the team, with the ability to motivate and delegate.
