Job Description

The Opportunity 
You will be responsible for leading delivery teams in the development of technical solutions for Roke’s National Security customers that have a focus on data services.
You have deep knowledge in a number of areas and this is an opportunity to use that experience to define novel technical approaches.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical leadership of teams with mixed technical abilities including data engineering, machine learning, cloud, DevOps, and software engineering
  • Lead on engagements with customers
  • Prepare and contribute to technical proposals and bids
  • Work effectively with Delivery Management to escalate risks, plan deliveries, and resourcing skills
  • Support customer account team by contributing to business development strategy

We are looking for candidates with experience in areas including:
  • Designing and building scalable data platforms
  • Analytical techniques for extracting insight from a variety of data sources
  • Visualisation of complex data
  • Machine learning
  • At least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
  • DevOps techniques for supporting repeatable deployment and testing
  • Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Experience with Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) leadership roles (e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner)


Beyond your technical skills, you will be proactive and able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will be curious and seek out the best approach/solution/tool for the job at hand.
