Spring RAF Halton is a beautiful nursery nestled in beautiful woodland. We pride ourselves on the warm, 'home from home' environment we provide, where children are encouraged and supported to become independent learners. We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Early Years Teacher to join our team at Spring RAF Halton to maintain the quality of the early years provision at a Spring nursery setting by delivering and leading on high quality teaching of the Early Years Foundation Stage and providing outstanding care of our children.

The Early Years Teacher forms part of the setting leadership team, alongside the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager. You will act as the third in charge and manage the day to day running of the nursery in the absence of the Manager or Deputy.

What you will need:

Our successful candidate will lead on quality in your room working alongside the room lead, you will have to have an enthusiastic and pro-active mindset with a positive attitude and have the ability to form strong and supportive relationships with parents, children and the team. Our job description outlines the requirements of the role, but the 'must haves' are:

  • Recognised Early Years Initial Teacher qualification or willing to work towards Early Years Teacher Professional Status will also be accepted.
  • Eligibility for EYITT training is an undergraduate degree awarded by a UK higher education provider or recognised or recognised equivalent qualification.
  • Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience of working and leading in an Early Years or School setting.
  • Experience of planning observation and reflection of children and learning.
