We are recruiting for skilled Educational Psychologists to join our well-established and highly-regarded Educational Psychology Service.

Our Purpose

The Service works closely with parents, partners in schools, specialist agencies and the Local Authority to help raise achievement, promote inclusion and support the emotional wellbeing of vulnerable children and young adults across the borough.

The Role & Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join our committed and talented team of Educational Psychologists and Assistant Educational Psychologists at a time of positive change and improvement in the Council. The EPS sit within the wider Education and Inclusion Team in the Children's Services Directorate.

For a suitable candidate, there is also the potential for employment as a Senior Education Psychologist, dependent on skills and experience.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological assessment and intervention for children and young people.
  • Offer information, advice and guidance for education and care teams.
  • Provide supervision to agreed members of the EPS team.
  • Communicate with parents/ carers, education and care settings and specialist agencies.
  • Engage in professional development training for staff.

Working Arrangements

This role is a blended working role (the duties of the role may require a blend of home & office working in line with needs of the service)
