N1070 Executive Assistant - Role Profile

 

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our Executive Support Hub on a part-time basis, primarily supporting the Director of Public Health.  

 

You will need to hold proficient IT skills, a high standard of communication, organisational and prioritisation skills, and the ability to effectively work both within a fast-paced team and independently using quality decision-making and initiative skills.

 

The Executive Support Hub is responsible for the executive support provided to Plymouth City Council’s Senior Leadership Team. As the Executive Assistant to the Director of Public Health, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which includes; diary management, inbox management, workload coordination, file management, travel and accommodation bookings, meeting agendas and minutes as required, handling telephone calls and correspondence, and dealing with complaints as necessary.

 

You will be the first point of contact for the Director of Public Health’s office, supporting and signposting both internal and external stakeholders as appropriate whilst always maintaining strict confidentiality. This role is for 2 days a week, working Thursday & Friday, in a job share arrangement. You will be required to effectively communicate and collaborate with the Executive Assistant undertaking the other 3 days a week, as well as other members within the Executive Support Hub on a flexible working basis. There will also be a requirement to cover for colleagues within the team as required during periods of leave/absence.

 

The ideal candidate will hold a knowledge of Council procedures, policies and management structures, and have substantial experience of providing executive support to a senior director.
