Growth Business Relationship Manager
Glasgow 

As a Barclays Business Relationship Manager, you will work as a collective to support a broad portfolio of customers, acting and leading as a trusted partner to their business. This is an exciting opportunity to be accountable for increasing appeal to our business clients, through focused relationship management propositions, providing financial solutions to your customers to help them grow as well as connecting them to the expertise they search for. There will be a requirement to build deeper knowledge across industries as needed.

This role will be based from the Glasgow campus. What will you be doing?
•    Working in collaboration with colleagues across the Business Banking team, to ensure clients have access to the right expertise at key points in their business life cycle
•    Building and developing deep relationships with customers, becoming trusted contacts for their banking needs
•    Acting as an influencer to others that will contribute in determining professional developments in specialist areas, ensuring business strategy is being met
•    Making complex judgements and coming up with solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives that can be evidenced 
•    Developing and maintaining relevant skills, knowledge and accreditations to meet specific client’s requirements in your market 
•    Anticipating proactively the customer needs, delivering outcomes that exceed the customers’ expectations, whilst balancing the needs of the bank 
•    Providing lending solutions over £1,000,000 and establishing a network of key business introducers in local market
•    Networking to develop new contacts, develop new leads

What we’re looking for:
•    Experience of managing face to face relationships with clients
•    Demonstrable experience of business development
•    Wide knowledge of the SME market
•    Clear grasp of credit writing and analysis

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Accredited in Lending or a professional related qualification
•    Excellent ability to build and foster new relationships at a senior level
•    Risk management experience
