Head of ERF Operations

Salary: Competitive salary plus annual performance bonus, company car/car allowance, pension, private medical and dental

What you'll be doing;



As the Head of ERF Operations for the South, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, compliant, and reliable operation of the Energy Recovery Facilities within your remit, including directing and coordinating all activities on-site and the overall financial performance of the facilities.

  • You will support the business with commercial development opportunities and asset management system development.
  • Ensure the efficient and reliable plant asset operation including performance, compliance with emissions, monitoring legislation, pressure systems regulations, compliance, process safety management, and asset management systems.
  • Develop and implement group maintenance strategic practices.
  • Control and review budget expenditure and performance.
  • Support the development of internalised maintenance practices.
  • Provide technical support to the Operational facilities, new build and upgrade projects.
  • Assist the Head of Maintenance in a range of challenges in effective maintenance of all sites.
  • Communication and planning of maintenance activities including projects and planned shutdown periods, liaising with the location managers to ensure conflicts relating to the changing needs of the plant are addressed to minimise any downtime.



What we're looking for;

  • Previous leadership experience within a similar environment.
  • Qualified Engineer/Technician, together with extensive relevant experience.
  • Financial management skills along with strong communication skills across all levels.
  • Understanding of the commercial operation of Energy Recovery assets.
  • Understanding of maintenance strategy tools, understanding of planned preventative maintenance procedures, and project management.
  • Proven experience in implementing industry best practices.
  • Pressure parts systems standards.
  • Application of Electrical and Mechanical Safety Systems.
  • Application of Health and Safety Legislation including PUWER, Electricity at Work Regulations, CDM Regulations.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of pressure system safety regulations and statutory inspection regulations.
  • Enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems.
  • Ability to demonstrate an analytical approach to investigation allied with a practical ability to resolve engineering problems.
  • A practical approach to problem-solving with the ability to work in a multi-project environment.
