The role

The purpose o this role is to provide an efficient administrative service to the Heating Team, working with internal and external partners to ensure that regulatory processes are followed through to completion within timescale .

Working alongside our contractors and customers to overcome difficulties and improve the customer journey whilst ensuring overall compliancy is maintained.

This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.

What you'll achieve

  • To create works orders for both service and repair works including adding costs and variations where applicable
  • To assist with the cleansing of work in progress reports, identifying and rectifying overdue works orders
  • Facilitating and communicating urgent referrals in relation to Gas Delivery works
  • Logging and allocating Gas Safety issues to Health and Safety by logging on SHE portal
  • Investigating first stage or informal repair and service related complaints and provide audit trail of timelines to senior colleagues and complaint team
  • Ensure that contract additions and deletions are input correctly into Active H and correct information given to contractors to ensure legal obligations are met for all properties
  • To ensure that attributes are updated correctly after installation to ensure that the next legal service date moves and that planned programs through Strategic Asset Management and delivery through Property Improvement are accurate

What you'll bring

Essential skills

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths
  • Any relevant NVQ or other similar qualification desirable - e.g. in Customer Service, word processing, RSA II or equivalent Business Administration
  • Experience of carrying out administrative functions in a compliance setting
  • PC skills and knowledge, conversant with all Microsoft packages and experience of working with databases.
  • Gas Awareness Level 2 (will be given)
