Job Description

Nursery Room Leader

£13.54 - £14.25 per hour

RAFAKidz High Wycombe HP14 4UE

38 hours per week over 4 days

Subsidised childcare for staff

About us

Just like our children, we are growing! RAFAKidz started out as one of the chosen providers of nursery services to the RAF (Royal Air Force) community. We are excited to announce that we have brought our expertise and touch of magic to a brand-new setting to provide high quality affordable childcare within the High Wycombe area. The nursery opened in April 2023 and we are looking for another experienced Nursery Room Leader to join us on our journey to grow the nursery into a thriving and stimulating environment for our children and employees.

About the team

Our new nursery is one of 14 settings in the RAFAKidz family. The nursery has capacity to offer 80 childcare places to include babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Working closely with our Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager, you will be supported by our wider management team. You will also engage and share best practice with other nursery practitioners within the group – it's a real team effort!

About you

As one of our newest nursery settings, you can expect to be fully ‘hands on’ to create a stimulating and exciting nursery setting. Ideally you will be either an experienced Room Leader or a Level 3 Practitioner ready for your next challenge. As well as the usual responsibilities that you would expect of this role, our Room Leaders are part of our management team and role models to other members of staff. You will encourage and motivate your colleagues to continually demonstrate best practices and support them in their learning journey towards their qualifications. You will have a minimum of one year’s experience working at a level 3 position in an early year’s environment and have a good understanding of the EYFS learning outcomes to plan for children’s learning and development.

Please do review the complete job description for the full overview of requirements, but if you’re looking for a real opportunity to be part of our growth journey and help us specifically support our valued military community, please do apply.

This post requires a satisfactory, enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter. A full role profile is available to download on our website www.rafakidz.org.uk

To apply, please send your CV and supporting cover letter to jobs@rafakidz.org.uk.

Closing date Tuesday 7 May - interviews ongoing

Applicants who meet the criteria may be offered an interview ahead of the closing date so please do not delay in submitting your application, we’d love to hear from you!
