37 hours per week

We are now recruiting for an Insurance Support Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide timely and diligent support for any insurance claims made to the council and ensure the insurance claims records are maintained, kept up to date and accessible to key officers to ensure oversight and reporting can be undertaken.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide day to day support on the delivery of all Insurance Claims made to the council including responding to emails and calls from claimants or insurance companies.
  • Support the team to ensure that Insurance Claims made to the council are assessed and considered in line with council policies and procedures and insurance coverage.
  • Ensure delivery of operational targets required in relation to processing claims and the transfer of information as required from the insurance companies to the council and any claimants including the delivery of service through Service Level Agreements.
  • Updating and maintaining claims on the claims management system.
  • To assist in the upkeep of data within the risk management software system.
  • Produce quarterly data to assist in the management of insurance claims and strategic/operational risks.

We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in providing administrative support and advice in a functionally diverse organisation and experience of working in an office environment.
