The role:

Project Manager - Cabin

In our team, you get to work in wonderful facilities on one of the most diverse fleets in the aviation industry. Get ready to push your technical and people skills to ensure our customers fly in the most advanced, safest and reliable aircraft in the skies. As the Engineering Cabin Project Manager, you deliver end-to-end product development, from concept to production within all categories and cabins from initial concept to final embodiment onto the aircraft.

Key responsibilities include forging strategic partnerships, supporting business case creation, and managing a project aligned with business goals and budget constraints.

What you'll do:

Responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of cabin interior projects including tracking and reporting on project milestones

  • Co-ordination and management of aircraft modification programmes with the on-board product sponsors, ensuring agreed timescales are met, expenditure is within approved limits and the required quality and performance levels are delivered.
  • Responsible for the relationship between Engineering and the aircraft modification sponsors including all Engineering departments, Customer Experience, Fleet planning, MRO's and others as required.
  • Holding quarterly reviews of sponsors' comprehensive programmes ensuring the relationship remains open, including communication the current program status, sharing forward plans and the inclusion of relevant Engineering colleagues.
  • Financial status of programmes reviewed monthly and as required, with the sponsors

What you'll bring to British Airways:

  • Excellent prioritisation, planning and organisational skills in cross functional roles or projects with the ability to forecast the future impact of current information
  • Understanding of financial management processes and able to control programme finances
  • Commercial and business awareness
  • Pro-active management of risk
  • Able to interpret technical and commercial context to make sound project decisions
  • Delivering to Customer and Business requirements
  • Practiced influencing and collaboration skills, able to assimilate diverse groups conflicting objectives to achieve consensus agreement

Your experience:

  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Degree qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • Business understanding (Essential)
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks
