The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Homeless Team as a RSAP (Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme) Tenancy Sustainment Officer. The role will involve supporting people in our RSAP properties, who have experienced rough sleeping, to move on from their homelessness into sustainable long-term accommodation by empowering them to overcome their barriers to managing accommodation in the past.

The role involves working in the community with people who have multiple complex vulnerabilities and, as such, the role will require someone who is resilient, able to solve problems efficiently and effectively and who is able to be sensitive to support needs whilst working towards reasonable outcomes. 

A passion and drive to see an end to homelessness in Herefordshire is essential, alongside a willingness and ability to work as part of a wider team across a number of disciplinaries.

About You

Compassionate and passionate about working with vulnerable people
Able to represent the organisation as a multi-agency level
Have a strong understanding of causes and symptoms of homelessness in a rural environment
Have a string understanding of relevant legislation
Ability to use Microsoft office and other IT packages
