Senior Product and Proposition Manager
Knutsford, London, Glasgow, Northampton

As a Barclays Senior Product and Proposition Manager, you will be responsible for the continued creation, refinement and execution of products aligned to the Banking Transformation product stack. You will work within the Banking Transformation team and drive transformational change to the Business Banking product journeys. This is an opportunity for you to develop the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, and make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes as part of a high performing team.

What will you be doing?
•    Driving the development of customer level strategies & solutions which are tailored to customers’ needs 
•    Acting as a Subject Matter Expert in the applicable Product/Proposition team and being able to confidently guide and advise stakeholders at all levels in the Bank
•    Using comprehensive knowledge of product and services/tools used by the Product and Proposition team to develop product propositions, and/or service strategy
•    Using existing knowledge of the financial services industry, you will be applying this knowledge when developing products and services
•    Ensuring appropriate Service Level Agreements are in place with operational teams to support the business and resolve operational service issues as they arise
•    Being responsible for developing different commercial and business models through a good understanding of the financial drivers of the P&L applicable
•    Influencing how Barclays can respond to disruption from new business models, including disruptive models enabled by new Fintech developments
•    Creating strategic alliances and partnerships across Barclays, to understand and optimise the operational model to deliver good customer outcomes and reduce cost

What we’re looking for:
•    Financial Modelling (Excel) experience with ability to create and read financial models and scenarios to assess impact of different strategies
•    Refined written and verbal communication skills, used to present proposals to senior management and internal teams during a Pricing Forum
•    Understanding of credit risk metrics (such as credit scores, financial ratios, and industry benchmarks) and current risk policy and processes for making informed lending decision
•    Understanding of the broader business strategies to align lending decisions with Barclays objectives and risk appetite

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Knowledge of market trends, interest rate movements, and competitive landscape to make informed lending decisions is a plus
•    Understanding of credit risk metrics such as credit scores, financial ratios, and industry benchmarks and current risk policy and processes for making informed lending decisions
•    Understanding of the broader business strategies to align lending decisions with Barclays objectives and risk appetite
•    Market knowledge across rate movements, market trends, interest and competitive landscape to make informed lending decisions is a plus

Where will you be working?
Knutsford
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.

London

Northampton

Glasgow
