Tourism and Visitor Economy Officer

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Salary: SK11 (£33,192 per annum)

Contract: Fixed Term (until 30th June 2025)

To develop and deliver South Kesteven District Council’s ‘Visitor Economy Strategy’ in line with the Corporate Plan, to facilitate growth and improve the strength and resilience of the visitor economy in South Kesteven through:

• Working with the private sector, public sector and community partners to develop new products, activities and attractions in South Kesteven to increase visitor numbers
• Working with Visit Lincolnshire and partners to build on existing initiatives to support the development of skills, business start-ups, SME growth and inward investment in the tourism sector in South Kesteven
• Working with Visit Lincolnshire, Destination Lincolnshire, the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (GLLEP) and VisitBritain to build on existing initiatives and campaigns to attract more visitors to South Kesteven, helping to build upon the Discover South Kesteven and Heritage brands
• Developing online visitor information to support visitors and improve the range of visitor experiences to attract new markets
• To work closely with partners delivering tourism related initiatives and strategy within the district and integrating with County
• To provide strategic leadership and co-ordination of significant tourism related projects
• To manage Discover South Kesteven, the brand online and in person
• Plan and host an annual Tourism Networking event for all visitor economy businesses in South Kesteven
• Lead the SKDC events group
