Tree Officer (part-time)

North West Leicestershire has lots going on in terms of development in the district and we are looking for a dedicated part-time Tree Officer to join our team. You will be dealing with Tree Preservation and Trees in Conservation area applications, making recommendations on new Tree Preservation Orders and providing advice to our planning officers on planning applications which impact on trees and landscaping.

The district is varied and includes both urban and rural areas within the National Forest and Charnwood Forest, providing you with

the opportunity to further develop and hone your arboriculture skills and influence how the natural environment in the district is developed and protected. You must have demonstrable experience of tree and landscaping work within a planning team or equivalent and be customer focussed, an effective team player and hold a recognised arboriculture qualification.

•           14½ hrs per week with an annual salary of £13,993 to £15,289 (full-time equivalent £34,834 - £38,223pa)
