Job Description

Prince Rock Depot Fixed Term Contract (Until Completion) 37 hours per week Year 1, Level 2 NVQ (£15,302) per annum 

 

Plymouth City Council’s Fleet Services Department are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and hard-working Vehicle Technician Apprentice to joins its workshop team within the garage based at the Prince Rock Depot.

 

The successful applicant, will be trained to operate and maintain, under supervision a range of duties including inspections, services, maintenance and repairs to a wide range of vehicles and miscellaneous equipment to ensure the highest standards of roadworthiness maintaining any health and safety and legislative requirements.

 

Good communication skills, time management and attention to detail are key elements to this role. A keen interest in vehicles and machinery are essential, a current driving licence is desirable.

 

The Course provider for this vacancy is Exeter College, and you are required to attend college one day a week.
