Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
NYFRS’s recently signed the Armed Forces Covenant and currently hold the bronze award. Within North Yorkshire large Forces communities are resident in the county, and as an employer we recognise forces families as being future employees across various roles in service. Some of our roles are flexible working contracts as well as fixed term and temporary, these types of contract may well be sought after within service families due to the requirements to move location with serving personnel, as such permanent contracts may prove to be a barrier for applying for positions, we therefore feel some of our roles maybe appealing.
About us
NYFRS provide a fire and rescue service across North Yorkshire. The service responds to a wide range of incidents some of which are fires, road traffic collisions and rescues. NYFRS also has a responsibility for preventing these types of incidents from occurring and as a result we undertake prevention work within the community.
