Salford City Council

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Salford City Council is committed to the armed forces covenant, we have established specific reservist policies and practices that make work as flexible and accessible as possible for employees associated with the armed forces.

By being inclusive in respect of our recruitment and employment of reservists, ex-forces and spouses of those in service, and designing our recruitment process to make it easier for candidates to recognise their transferable skills and behaviours on application, we have achieved gold status as part of the employee recognition scheme.

We have already supported a number of people from the armed forces within the organisation and we look forward to growing this number. Salford Council are committed to continuing the growth of our armed forces network across the organisation and across the city, improving our offer to those who support, or are related to individuals in the armed forces.
