Sandwell College

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Sandwell family of Colleges are committed to actively supporting the Armed Forces, their families and our College community in numerous ways. Just a few are mentioned below;

We support those colleagues and learners with Armed Forces training and mobilisation through supporting them, their families and ensuring that staff have the required paid days from work, and students receive extra support to catch up on any missed learning.

We actively encourage the recruitment of service personnel and support individuals through the application process.

We also actively support Armed Forces events including Remembrance where we encourage colleagues and learners to take part and support our forces.

We have a team of Mental health first aiders, suicide first aiders and menopause champions that are available and accessible to colleagues. There are also many regular and high-quality opportunities for staff to undertake said training and progression.
