Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
The seven District Councils in North Yorkshire and North Yorkshire County Council are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community and recognises the value serving personnel, Reservists, Veterans and military families bring to our organisation. We strive to support the values of the Armed Forces Covenant in many ways, including:- • Providing opportunities for spouses to develop their own careers. • Improving support for service leavers to get employment, in particular, early service leavers who are still of working age. • Providing access to training, education and skills support to Veterans to assist them to find suitable employment after services.
