Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Scottish Engineering is a committed partner and supporter of Defence, is a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant, and holder of a Gold level award on the Employer Recognition Scheme.
Our focus is on advocating the value of Defence people to the engineering and manufacturing sector in Scotland. We bring Defence together with employers for briefings, events and service leaver / careers events. We are a strong advocate for employment of veterans, service leavers and for the benefits of reserve service and have worked with all branches of the Forces in promoting such.
About us
Scottish Engineering is the industry association for engineering and manufacturing. Our membership ranges from large international groups through to small/medium sized businesses and reflects the diversity of a dynamic sector in Scotland including marine, aerospace, defence, utilities, energy, automotive, electronics, precision engineering, life science, and education. We connect Scottish industry to expert knowledge, advice and supply chain opportunities at home and abroad. We collaborate with political leaders, industry bodies and regulators at all levels to give our members influence over industry-related issues locally, nationally and internationally. We provide market leading employment law, HR Support, and Health and Safety advice, and the training we facilitate develops skills for all levels of staff and management and encourages a culture of best practice sharing amongst members. We promote the greater good of engineering and manufacturing in Scotland and are passionate on supporting STEM in education.
