Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

We recognise the value that Armed Forces personnel are able to bring to our business and have pledged our support to the military community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

We are committed to:

  • Promoting that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation to our staff, customers, suppliers, contractors and wider public.
  • Supporting the employment of veterans; recognising military skills and qualifications; working with the Career Transition Partnership to support the employment of Service leavers.
  • Supporting the employment of Service spouses/partners; granting leave for Service spouses/partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment.
  • Supporting employees who are members of the Reserves; granting additional leave for annual training; supporting mobilisations and deployment; encouraging members of staff to become Reserves.
  • Supporting employees who are volunteer leaders in military organisations, granting additional leave to attend training camps/courses; encouraging employees to become volunteer leaders; supporting local cadet units; recognising the benefits of employing cadets within the workforce.
  • Supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities and Armed Forces charities.
