Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Our Co-Founder and Master Distiller is himself a former Army Officer.  The following is therefore a wholly natural and heart-felt commitment from Sky Wave Gin:

We will will endeavour in our business dealings to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, which are: 

• no member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen;
• in some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate especially for the injured or bereaved.

We will also:

•  promote the fact that we are an armed forces-friendly organisation to our staff, customers, suppliers and the wider public;
• support the employment of veterans young and old;
• support the employment of Service spouses and partners and endeavouring to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment;
• support our employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, including by accommodating their training, mobilisation and deployment where possible;
• offer support to our local cadet units, either in our local community or in local schools, where possible; and support our employees who choose to be volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations;
• aim to participate actively in Armed Forces Day, the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance activities,
• support selected Armed Forces charities with fundraising;
• guarantee that we will always offer a discount and / or unique offers to members of the Armed Forces Community.

About us

Sky Wave Gin is a World-Class gin distillery based in Oxfordshire. Founders and distillers Rachel Hicks and Andrew Parsons were always searching for their perfect gin, but failing to find it they decided to make it. Sky Wave Gin launched in 2018 and only 18 months later their Signature London Dry was named The World’s Best Contemporary Gin at the World Gin Awards.

Sky Wave Gin creates its range of seven artisan gins by hand and with passion. Every stage of distillation, bottling and packaging is touched by our distillers, not automated by machines. Our boutique distillery is open to the public at the beautiful Bicester Heritage site in Oxfordshire, the home of historic motoring.

The distillery has been awarded 19 international medals and Andrew has been shortlisted for the prestigious title of World’s Best Master Distiller, in the Icons of Gin, World Gin Awards 2021.
