Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

We recognise the contribution that Service personnel, reservists, veterans, the cadet movement and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by:

  • Promoting and raising awareness of the Armed Forces Community
  • We will strive to publicise gaining the Veterans Awareness Accreditation and promote that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation
  • We intend to support and take part in national events to raise awareness and show support to the Armed Forces community
  • Being an Armed Forces friendly employer
  • We intend to promote that we are an Armed Forces friendly employer on our job adverts alongside our other commitments to promoting equality and inclusion
  • We will strive to promote employment opportunities to the Armed Forces Community and link into the Step into Health programme
  • We aim to encourage staff members to record if they are part of the Armed Forces Community so we can support them as required
  • We have ensured our special leave policy supports reservists.
