Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Although only a small team of under 20 people the Surrey OPCC welcomes applications from armed forces personnel as and when vacancies arise and currently has one veteran in post.
The OPCC has supported veterans over the years and was instrumental in establishing the services of SSAFA to support service personnel and veterans who come into contact with the criminal justice service.
The OPCC is represented at the Surrey Civilian/Military Partnership Board and the Respect and Remember sub group.
About us
PCCs have a range of responsibilities. They are there to be the voice of the people, and to hold the police to account. The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for employing the Chief Constable of Surrey Police – hiring them, assessing their performance and, if necessary, disciplining or dismissing them.
