Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Thames Water recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business. We work closely with the Career Transition Partnership, British Forces Resettlement Services, The Officers Association and Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), holding specific military events at our sites in order to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service Leavers including holding insight days. Thames Water attend numerous military focused careers events.
We hold quarterly events for our internal military network and maintain a specific Military group on our internal communications portal to share upcoming events and engage with new service leavers joining the business.
Our Reserve Policy offers up to ten days additional leave with pay (subject to six months service) for reservists to complete training and camp. We also endeavouring to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment;
We offer up to five days to adult instructors of the cadet community and are committed to fund raise for BLESMA.
