Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
The Poppy Factory is committed to the Armed Forces Covenant and its principle of treating veterans and their families with fairness and respect, in all parts of society. These ideas have underpinned the work of our charity for 100 years. As a holder of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme gold award, we are proud that The Poppy Factory is recognised as providing outstanding support for the ex-Forces community.
About us
The Poppy Factory supports veterans with health conditions on their journey into employment, helping them overcome any barriers. Our service is veteran-centred and helps ex-Forces job seekers of all ages. The people we support move into a diverse range of jobs across many different sectors, from logistics and construction to the charity sector and health care.
Veterans are at the heart of our service. We empower them to plan their own future, supporting them into employment that reflects their aspirations, skills and circumstances.
Our expertise is in helping the most vulnerable in the ex-Forces community. Many come to us years after leaving the Armed Forces. They may be struggling to adapt to the civilian world and experience complex barriers to work. Nearly four in five of the veterans we support report a mental health condition and almost half have multiple health conditions.
The Poppy Factory has been supporting veterans with health conditions for 100 years. We continue to stand by them on their journey into employment and beyond.
