Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

RNRMC strives to employ the best people to support our RN personnel and their families. We recognise the variety and number of skills spouses and family members of Armed Forces personnel can bring to the job market and our industry in particular. As such over the years we have improved our recruitment and HR policies to fairly treat and better recognise this valuable resource. We currently employ 6 ex-serving veterans, 1 reservist and 3 spouses and family members, offering flexibility in their roles where required.  Furthermore, we are privileged to have a number of volunteers (both serving and retired), from bucket shaker to Trustee, who help us to support and raise funds for our Naval community. Being part of the ‘Forces Families Jobs Employment and Training platform Scheme’ further demonstrates our continuing commitment to supporting spouses and families of current UK Armed Forces military personnel, in searching and finding valued employment and careers recognising the accompanying challenges of their way of life and needs of the service.

About us

RNRMC is the Naval Service's primary national charity. We strive to raise and deliver resources, working with others, to provide the best assistance to serving and former sailors and marines and their families, with the aim of ensuring they feel valued and supported, at any stage of their lives. Our work helps the serving community including through improvements to amenities, efficiency, morale, welfare, sport and adventurous training as well as veterans and families in need and dependants after bereavement. All this can’t be achieved on our own; we work closely with Greenwich Hospital and other agencies and charities, ensuring good control and best use of funds and resources. We hope to deliver maximum impact to our beneficiaries, always working to fulfil currently identified need as well as anticipating future need through commissioning projects.  Our world class grant-making programmes enable us to make a real difference to those who both choose or have chosen to join the Naval Service and those that serve alongside.
