Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Trafford Council a Gold Award Holder of the Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme since 2019. Trafford has a full time dedicated Armed Forces Officer and a strong Armed Forces Partnership with members from national organisations who are all able to offer a wide variety of employability support.
Our employment policies include flexibility for reservists, ex-forces, partners and spouses, 10 days additional paid leave for reservists and Cadet Force leaders. Where possible we have committed to offering work experience for services leavers so they can experience the public sector.
We have a dedicated employment officer; and a weekly jobs bulletin, working wardrobe scheme, support with interviews and direct links to Armed Forces Job coaches in the local job centres.
