Turner & Townsend

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Turner & Townsend recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business; as such we have made a commitment to being a ‘forces friendly’ employer. We are an equal opportunities employer, and we are delighted to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by;

  • supporting members of the forces to pursue careers in our industry both alongside and following their time in active service;
  • seeking to support the employment of veterans young and old, working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) and Officers’ Association, in order to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service Leavers;
  • endeavouring to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment;
  • supporting our employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible;
  • aiming to actively participate in Armed Forces Day;
  • supporting military charities: we are currently SSAFA Corporate Friends and have also sponsored the Royal Engineers awards.
